Skyline Interactive´s Chris Ammen, has over 35 years´ experience in the video production industry. He understands the entire video production process, from acquisition to post to distribution. While others were still learning the subtleties of video compression and the power of the DVD-Video format, Chris had already been doing it for years - since 1998 when the DVD-Video format was first introduced. Over the last fifteen years Chris has encoded and authored projects for CD-i and Video CD formats, the predecessors to DVD-Video. He has extensive Video On Demand experience encoding hundreds of features for VOD systems used in hotels. Chris has provided compression services for kiosks, executive briefing centers, digital signage, and web video for Sun Microsystems, Cisco, Intel, US Forrest Service, Philips and many others.  

Skyline Interactive uses real time MPEG and Dolby Digital encoders, such as the Minerva Compressionist C-255 and Sonic Solutions Encoder 2, to provide the highest quality with quick turn around times. For the best compatibility with various players, we author DVD-Videos with the Sonic Solutions DVD Creator, the same tools used for feature film releases! This insures DVD-Video discs that will play on all players utilizing the full breadth of the DVD-Video specification.

For web, kiosks and high-definition Skyline Interactive uses Digital Rapids StreamZ HD for professional, high quality and fast turn encoding. We can simultaneously create multiple streams for different playback requirements.
