One question our customers frequently ask is: "Can MediaLink put my video on disc?" The quick answer is "Yes." To make it work for you, however, several questions will need to be answered...
- What is the target playback device? Web, laptop, set-top, kiosk or VOD server?
- If web is what you need, what is your target audience and connection speed? Modem, DSL, T1 or local network?
- Do you know which codec and specifications are needed? If not we can help you decide.
- What is the total running time (TRT) for all video?
The real challenge in this task is not getting the video on the disc, but getting it in the correct format for the playback platform. We´ve found that the best way to determine the right video format is to determine what the video will be played on first, and then work backward.
